Introduction

INL is seeking a qualified Corporate Communication & Branding Manager to help develop and integrate high-impact corporate communication & branding strategies.

The role of the Corporate Communication & Marketing Manager is to develop and execute a comprehensive strategic communication plan and manage internal and external communication activities that promote and enhance the institution's identity.

This position is also responsible for writing and/or proofing all of INL`s branding and marketing initiatives, official internal/external communications and content related to special events. 

 

 

Job Role & Key Responsibilities

The Cooperate Communication & Marketing Manager will play a strong role in content creation, coordination and management in the day-to-day operation of INL´s communications. This position requires proven competence in writing and production in printed and electronic related media, strong knowledge of the web and social media, and an ability to work with a diverse set of colleagues. This position also requires the ability to tailor language, tone, style and format to match the audience and to have up-to-date knowledge of current affairs and general science issues. The Cooperate Communication & Marketing Manager will report to the Director General.

As a Cooperate Communication & Branding Manager you will take on a key role within the following responsibilities:

  • Build a highly effective team to implement innovative approaches that advance office-level and institutional goals, providing leadership and managerial oversight to these areas - communication; marketing; creative services; outreach activities and pr & media;
  • Develop a strategic communication plan and core messaging that proactively advances the positioning of INL;
  • Develop partnerships with media organizations to advance overall institutional goals and larger programmatic goals;
  • Plan, implement and monitor appropriate actions to promote effective online communications and engagement;
  • Provide writing support for news coverage for the Organization;
  • Edit communication products such as articles, e-newsletters, brochure and annual reports;
  • Create strategic content partnerships with a variety of online/offline channels to reach society and stakeholders globally;
  • Develop and implement day-to-day communication campaigns to target key audiences, including printed and social media and other audience engagement tools;
  • Represent INL as a communication speaker at external and internal level;
  • Support website update: drafting articles, news, publications and the creation of digital content, such as videos and other visual material;
  • Serve as communication strategist and consultant with INL´s research community to develop strategies, key messages and vehicles for communication.

 

 

Job Requirements

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • Degree in Communication Sciences, Marketing or related fields;
  • MSc. Degree in Marketing, Design, Multimedia or related fields will be highly evaluated;
  • Proven track-record in developing and implementing communication strategies and plans in public or private institutions/companies. Experience of such work within research and technological development (RTD) institutes or similar RTD settings will be strongly valued.
  • Extensive experience in deploying a variety of digital tools to advance communication and marketing targets;
  • Wide expertise in computer literacy;
  • Proven track record and experience of marketing/communication/branding through diverse communication channels.
  • Outstanding leadership, team-building and change management skills in a unique, highly complex, and evolving organization;
  • A strategic and creative thinker;
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills.

 

Languages

 

  • English is the working language of INL. Therefore, excellent communication skills in English are required. Knowledge of other European languages (especially Spanish) would be an advantage.
