The management Campus and Real Estate develops and realizes new construction projects and renovations, takes care of the management and maintenance of buildings and sites, provides energy and takes care of the park management. Campus and Real Estate is subdivided into the Strategic Campus Management, Development Campus, Science Park Development, Projects, Management & Maintenance and Business Office departments. Together these departments work on a pleasant and sustainable study, research and work environment on a lively campus, so that TU Delft can maintain its position in international rankings.


CRE strives to create, for the university community, a pleasant study, research and working environment on a so-called "Living Campus." The Projects department actively contributes to this.

 

The CRE Projects department realizes on the campus a large number of renovation and new construction projects for research, education and support functions.


When the scope of these projects is defined by the Property Development department, the projects are transferred to the Projects department. We are ultimately responsible for the design, building preparation, execution and aftercare phases of the project. We are already involved in the initiative and definition phase and we provide our input.


Job description


Are you an experienced project manager and ready for a challenging new job? Then this is your chance. Within the dynamic TU Delft real estate organization, there is room for a senior project manager for Construction. In this position you work from the ambition of TU Delft to offer high-quality facilities, with which the university can maintain its position on the international rankings.

 

You are responsible for preparing, managing and realizing large and complex construction projects within the framework of established project definition. You are ultimately responsible for the total project organization. You are also the first point of contact and supervise the internal and external staff during the lead time of the project in question. We expect you to contribute to the development of the department, for example by developing knowledge, drawing up procedures ect.

 

Your tasks and responsibilities at a glance:

Project preparation, execution and aftercare


- Drafting PvA;
- Responsible GROTIK aspects;
- Report verbally and in writing on substantive and financial progress;
- Final responsibility for project documents and project file;
- Tender strategy, tendering within rules of mandate and tender regulation TUD;
- Responsible for internal testing and administrative decision-making;
- Responsible for achieving project result and transfer to exploitation and users;
- Responsible for evaluations, and possible proposals for improvement of general procedures and formats.

 

Leadership


- Coordinate and manage complex multiple project organization;
- Coordination of user organization and internal departments;
- Monitor overall planning and follow-up to guidelines, procedures and standards. Monitoring and guaranteeing the quality of the work;
- Possibly manage the content of junior project manager.

 

Requirements

- Academic working and thinking level.
- 10 to 15 years of experience as project manager in the real estate sector.
- Experience in education (HBO / WO), healthcare or industry (laboratories).
- Knowledge of the English language in word and writing.

 

Key functional competences: analytical skills, independence, communication and social skills, oral and written expression (in NL and ENG), planning and organizational skills, awareness of the environment, stress resistance, persuasiveness, steering on results, connecting leadership and organizational sensitivity.


Conditions of employment


The function has a size of 38 hours (1.0 FTE). It is a contract for 1 year with good prospects for an extension. The salary is based on scale 12 (with a maximum of € 5.330, - gross per month). TU Delft offers attractive secondary conditions of employment, such as a discount from health insurers and a sports subscription. You can make agreements about flexible working hours, compile your own remuneration package annually via the Individual Terms and Conditions package and you will receive a monthly work contribution.
