Job Description:

 

Training and Professional Development

- Design and deliver professional development plan for entire MBA student population including training and development competency-based curriculum and programs meeting student needs

   • Align complementary programs and speakers which address gaps in student competencies

   • Targeted programming to prepare students for career readiness in a variety of work environments

   • Provide leadership development and management training opportunities

   • Coordinate technical skills training courses (e.g. CFA certification, Six Sigma, data visualization, etc…)

   • Organize administrative aspects of UF MBA Case Competition teams with an emphasis on planning try-outs and training activities, arranging travel, and other support logistics

   • Collaborate with Business Career Services team to execute tailored events for MBA cohorts

- Administer individual assessments to identify competency gaps

   • Work with vendors to provide access to assessments for students at beginning, mid-point, and end of program

   • Design communication plan for students including tracking and follow up to assure assessments are completed in a timely manner


Co-Curricular & Educational Programming

- Direct and implement co-curricular programs, initiatives, and events focused on best practices, industry trends, and other important topics which complement academic learning and career search

   • Manage domestic City Treks with primary responsibility for logistics and coordination with students and staff

   • Plan Networking Nights events in cities with supporting alumni base to engage alumni, current students, and local partners

   • Arrange speaker series featuring alumni and WCB strategic partners; Engage Advisory Board Members as needed to identify programming options


Evaluation & Research

- Evaluate professional development strategy and plan as well as co-curricular programming

   • Conduct follow-up of all completed activities, initiatives, and assessments

   • Track programs over time to refine and evolve programming as needed

   • Collect Data for analysis, evaluation, and program improvement

   • Report metrics and findings to program leadership

- Conduct market research and benchmarking, especially of peer and aspirant programs

   • Provide findings and ensure programming is relevant and current

   • Recommend innovative and entrepreneurial programming options


Communication and Budgeting 

- Create and execute communication strategy

   • Partner with WCB Communications team on monthly newsletters for advocacy and awareness campaigns to promote co-curricular programs and encourage alumni engagement

   • Construct recognition programs for partners to drive recurring participation, extend existing relationships, and create future collaboration opportunities

- Develop and manage programming budget

   • Use resources and evaluations to optimize current programming

   • Provide budget strategy to address programming recommendations

 

Advertised Salary:$65,000 - $75,000, Commensurate with experience.

 

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree in appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience or a bachelor’s degree in appropriate areas of specialization and four years of relevant experience.

Valid Florida driver's license

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Ideal candidates will have strong written and verbal communication skills and be highly organized with strong presentation skills.

Successful candidates will have experience in training and development, educational programming, event management, and/or stakeholder engagement.

Transferrable experience from private industry, non-profit organizations, or university/educational environments will be considered.
